# Can an exported app run without Uvilno's hosted services?

Updated: 2026-10-27

A static frontend can run on compatible hosting, but an app using Uvilno-managed auth, data, AI or payments calls those services unless they are replaced. Source ownership allows adaptation; it does not recreate infrastructure. Inspect the dependency inventory and verify the host before announcing independence.

Separate rendering from operations. A portfolio with static content and email links may need little beyond a host and domain, while a SaaS with accounts, records and inference needs ongoing services. Export the correct runtime package and keep referenced media and font licenses with it.

If replacing a hosted service, implement its authorization and failure behavior, not just its method names. Register the new application origin where required and test real visitors after deployment. Do not copy platform credentials into client JavaScript to bypass a missing integration.

## What to verify

| Check | Published behavior | Verification |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Static frontend | Source can be deployed to a compatible external host. | Run the build and navigate every route. |
| Managed app | Hosted dependencies remain until replaced. | List actual auth, data and inference calls. |
| Ownership | Source access is distinct from service migration. | Assign each dependency a migration or retention decision. |

## Steps

1. Classify the project as static or service-backed.
2. Build the export on the intended host.
3. Exercise each retained or replaced backend flow.

## Editable starting brief

Plan a source handoff for my application with a dependency inventory. Separate static routes and assets from managed identity, records, inference and payments. Explain what can run on a static host and what needs retained or replacement services, then define an end-to-end deployment test without exposing private keys.
