# Why can AI builder bug fixes consume tokens?

AI bug fixes can consume model context and generated output, including unsuccessful attempts. This does not establish that every Bolt build wastes tokens. Uvilno separates metered edits from mapped direct edits and a bounded, platform-funded repair path for reproduced runtime faults in native static projects.

A repair request may require the model to inspect related modules, explain an error to the controller and emit a replacement. Larger context and repeated failed attempts can increase usage. Ask the platform to expose its actual billing model rather than inferring cost from the number of visible messages.

Uvilno's no-usage repair is narrowly admitted and checked in an isolated browser. It is not a free general-purpose coding service, does not cover every framework issue, and cannot promise that all failures disappear. Preserve the previous version and make the smallest reproducible request.

## What to verify

| Check | Published behavior | Verification |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Bolt usage | Plan and model usage terms are vendor-defined. | Review Bolt's current pricing and troubleshooting guidance. |
| Direct changes | Mapped text, link and color edits use no inference. | Use Inspect & Edit on a supported element. |
| Automatic recovery | Native static faults have a separately bounded free repair path. | Check that a fault was reproduced and the saved result verified. |

## Steps

1. Capture the failing action and exact route.
2. Keep a working saved version available.
3. Use an element or file reference rather than requesting a whole-app rewrite.

## Editable starting brief

Review a reproducible navigation failure in my existing app. Use the selected route and relevant file context, preserve unrelated pages, identify the actual cause and verify the corrected interaction. Do not rebuild the entire application, invent a successful test, or remove checks to hide an error.
