Uvilno vs Base44.

Uvilno vs Base44: compare typed app data, auth, built-in AI, workflows, GitHub source handoff and the difference between a $4.99 unlock and recurring app hosting.

Full-stack evaluation rubric.

Uvilno provides conversation-led frontend generation, schema-declared app data and a $4.99 permanent source unlock for one project. Plus costs $10/month; Pro costs $20/month with unlimited source unlocks during the subscription. Generation and hosted services have separate limits.

The five criteria below allocate 100 possible points. Available documentation and recorded Uvilno checks establish some conditions; they do not establish equivalent performance across products. Overall scores remain unmeasured. Unknown evidence is not treated as a failed capability.

Published by Uvilno. Uvilno appears first as the publisher’s presentation order, not a measured rank. The weights express this publication’s engineering priorities.

Read the proposed scoring and test protocol

Each listed condition has a five-point allocation. This page records evidence, not awarded performance points. “Documented” identifies a stated capability with its requirements. “Recorded Uvilno check” identifies a named first-party fixture; it is not independent comparative testing. “Unmeasured” leaves the condition open. Source-access purchases, annual subscriptions and operating services are different costs.

  1. Code ownership & export cost

Build the same app, obtain its complete source, record the actual purchase, and rebuild on a separate host. Test continued source access and document the backend services that still need migration.

  2. Database, accounts & app AI

Create, edit and remove the same records; reload; repeat with another account; check record permissions; run a real app-AI request and inspect a triggered automation. Record each managed or external dependency.

  3. Targeted edit precision & speed

Apply the same specified changes to matched projects. Compare exact file deltas, verify the rendered target and unchanged routes, and record end-to-end timings including verification. Publish failures as well as successes.

  4. No-usage editing & recovery

Make the same direct edit and introduce the same reproducible fault. Inspect actual usage ledgers, repair limits and saved-version behavior. A limited free path must not be described as unlimited free coding.

  5. Multi-page & interactive applications

Build and navigate the same route plan, exercise state across pages, then measure frame time and input response on named devices. Framework support or an attractive screenshot does not establish a universal 60 FPS result.

A published 4–8 second edit claim needs timing data. A 60 FPS claim needs a named workload, device and frame-time record. Neither is inferred from feature availability, code export or a screenshot. The recorded checks and open evaluation protocol describe the current measurement boundary.

The full-stack decision.

Key takeaway, October 2026. Uvilno combines typed hosted data, app AI and bounded transactional automations with a permanent $4.99 source unlock. Choose it when that frontend-and-managed-services contract fits your app; compare Base44's runtime, service limits and handoff against the same requirements.

Where Base44 fits. Choose Base44 when an integrated app platform with its own data dashboard, hosted backend, access controls and scheduled or event-driven workflows suits your operating model.

Where Uvilno fits. Choose Uvilno for a chat-and-preview workflow with declared collections, real app AI, transactional data rules, explicit context mentions and a permanent $4.99 source entitlement per project.

Both offer source handoff and managed backend services. Exporting files does not itself migrate records, identities, credentials or the hosted services those files call. Compare the actual exit plan, not a claim of universal zero lock-in.

24 details that change the decision.

Feature summaries reflect the linked documentation. “Requires configuration” is a responsibility to plan for, not a claim that the other product cannot do it.

What was actually verified.

Uvilno's October 27 integration run exercised real hosted services with a code-authored fixture. It was not an independently scored CRM-generation contest or a test of Base44. We publish the boundary so a passing SDK check cannot be mistaken for a universal build-completion rate.

Look beyond the first preview.

Compare the data lifecycle, not just a table

Base44 includes hosted entities and data management. Uvilno declares typed collections in data/schema.json and exposes actual records through App Data. For either product, test create, update and delete, reload the page, then repeat with another visitor account. A table that looks populated is not evidence that ownership rules or persistence are correct. Uvilno's preview personas change presentation, not real account permissions.

Workflows have different execution boundaries

Base44 documents scheduled, data-event and connector-triggered automation, with workflows replacing its automation interface. Uvilno's current rules are narrower: bounded record changes and in-app notifications execute atomically with the triggering collection mutation. Uvilno rules do not run uploaded server JavaScript, send email or make arbitrary network calls. Choose the execution model your workflow actually needs.

A fair ownership comparison includes the backend

Base44 explicitly advertises code ownership and GitHub source export; presenting it as unable to export would be inaccurate. Uvilno offers a $4.99 permanent source entitlement per project, with included unlocks on subscriptions. That is a source-access purchase, not an annual hosting or database bill. In both cases, verify the exported frontend, its licenses, authentication configuration, data export and any provider dependencies before migrating.

Build your annual budget.

Questions before you choose.

Is Base44 a platform with no code export?

No. Base44 advertises source ownership and two-way GitHub export, with GitHub integration listed on Builder and higher plans. Check the current plan and how its managed backend is configured before choosing a migration path.

Does Uvilno's $4.99 unlock include a year of hosting and app AI?

No. It permanently unlocks one project's source. Generation remains metered, app AI uses the creator's allowance, and exported managed services still need a running service or replacement. Add hosting and operational costs separately.

Can I switch Uvilno's preview to Admin to grant permissions?

No. Guest, Member and Admin preview views are presentation tests. The actual isolated visitor identity and server-side record authorization remain unchanged.

Which Base44 price is used in the annual calculator?

The Starter annual offer is $192 upfront. Builder is separately displayed at $480 annually and lists GitHub integration. The calculator models the named plan, not the cheapest route to every feature, and excludes hosting overages and third-party services unless you enter them.

Does Uvilno include publishing or unlimited generation?

Publish Studio can serve an explicitly published version, and entitled projects can connect a verified custom domain. Every plan still has finite AI usage and service limits. A permanent source unlock grants source access, not unlimited hosting or generation. External hosting and managed-service migration need separate planning; payments currently use test workflows.

The brief is preloaded for you to review. AI generation starts only when you send it. Included usage is limited; source access requires unlock.
