Uvilno vs Framer.

Uvilno vs Framer: compare conversational website source exports with a visual design canvas, hosted CMS workflow and current annual site-plan pricing.

Full-stack evaluation rubric.

Uvilno provides conversation-led frontend generation, schema-declared app data and a $4.99 permanent source unlock for one project. Plus costs $10/month; Pro costs $20/month with unlimited source unlocks during the subscription. Generation and hosted services have separate limits.

The five criteria below allocate 100 possible points. Available documentation and recorded Uvilno checks establish some conditions; they do not establish equivalent performance across products. Overall scores remain unmeasured. Unknown evidence is not treated as a failed capability.

Published by Uvilno. Uvilno appears first as the publisher’s presentation order, not a measured rank. The weights express this publication’s engineering priorities.

Read the proposed scoring and test protocol

Each listed condition has a five-point allocation. This page records evidence, not awarded performance points. “Documented” identifies a stated capability with its requirements. “Recorded Uvilno check” identifies a named first-party fixture; it is not independent comparative testing. “Unmeasured” leaves the condition open. Source-access purchases, annual subscriptions and operating services are different costs.

  1. Code ownership & export cost

Build the same app, obtain its complete source, record the actual purchase, and rebuild on a separate host. Test continued source access and document the backend services that still need migration.

  2. Database, accounts & app AI

Create, edit and remove the same records; reload; repeat with another account; check record permissions; run a real app-AI request and inspect a triggered automation. Record each managed or external dependency.

  3. Targeted edit precision & speed

Apply the same specified changes to matched projects. Compare exact file deltas, verify the rendered target and unchanged routes, and record end-to-end timings including verification. Publish failures as well as successes.

  4. No-usage editing & recovery

Make the same direct edit and introduce the same reproducible fault. Inspect actual usage ledgers, repair limits and saved-version behavior. A limited free path must not be described as unlimited free coding.

  5. Multi-page & interactive applications

Build and navigate the same route plan, exercise state across pages, then measure frame time and input response on named devices. Framework support or an attractive screenshot does not establish a universal 60 FPS result.

A published 4–8 second edit claim needs timing data. A 60 FPS claim needs a named workload, device and frame-time record. Neither is inferred from feature availability, code export or a screenshot. The recorded checks and open evaluation protocol describe the current measurement boundary.

The full-stack decision.

Key takeaway, October 2026. Uvilno combines typed hosted data, app AI and bounded transactional automations with a permanent $4.99 source unlock. Choose it when that frontend-and-managed-services contract fits your app; compare Framer's runtime, service limits and handoff against the same requirements.

Where Framer fits. Choose Framer for a visual design canvas, hosted marketing site, CMS content and an ongoing publishing workflow.

Where Uvilno fits. Choose Uvilno when the desired handoff is exportable website source and you are prepared to choose a production host.

Framer's managed publishing is convenient for a design-led site. Its official documentation does not offer HTML export for independent self-hosting, which is a meaningful distinction for source handoff.

24 details that change the decision.

Feature summaries reflect the linked documentation. “Requires configuration” is a responsibility to plan for, not a claim that the other product cannot do it.

What was actually verified.

Uvilno's October 27 integration run exercised real hosted services with a code-authored fixture. It was not an independently scored CRM-generation contest or a test of Framer. We publish the boundary so a passing SDK check cannot be mistaken for a universal build-completion rate.

Look beyond the first preview.

The design canvas is an architectural choice

Framer brings layout, CMS content and publishing into a visual workflow. That can suit a designer who expects to keep editing the site in the same platform. Uvilno uses conversation to build and refine a website, with source inspection and export available after unlock. Decide whether your long-term editing home should be a design canvas or an independent code package.

Compare a hosted site with a source package

Framer's site plan includes a managed hosting relationship. Uvilno's individual project unlock grants access to source and does not replace a production host. A fair comparison therefore adds your chosen host to the Uvilno budget and considers Framer's site limits, additional editors and any add-ons. Comparing $4.99 with a full year of hosting would mix different purchases.

Export is a real difference here

Framer's own help page says it does not provide HTML export for self-hosting, citing dependencies on its rendering and asset infrastructure. Uvilno can supply unlocked static source, but managed forms or app services may still depend on hosted connectors. A source package increases deployment options; it does not promise that every service becomes standalone.

Source unlocks persist. This worksheet models new projects at an even monthly pace; Plus's two included unlocks must be used in their paid month. Existing unlocked sites do not require another unlock.

Configured monthly AI capacity: Pro is 2.5× Plus; Ultra is 5× Pro. These are usage-capacity ratios, not a guaranteed number of builds.

Basic is advertised at $10/month with yearly billing: $120 paid upfront for one site. Additional editors, add-ons, usage and higher CMS needs can change the total. This is not a verified monthly-billing rate. Pricing checked 2026-10-27. See the official pricing source.

Questions before you choose.

Can I export a Framer site as HTML and self-host it?

Framer's official help page says this is not supported. If native source export is a requirement, evaluate that constraint before committing to a design workflow.

Is Framer Basic $10 billed month to month?

The checked pricing page shows $10 per month under yearly billing, equivalent to $120 upfront for a year. A monthly-billing offer needs separate verification.

Does Uvilno's $4.99 unlock replace a Framer hosting plan?

No. It unlocks one project's source. Add production hosting, a domain and any necessary app services when comparing the operating costs of a live site.

Does Uvilno include publishing or unlimited generation?

Publish Studio can serve an explicitly published version, and entitled projects can connect a verified custom domain. Every plan still has finite AI usage and service limits. A permanent source unlock grants source access, not unlimited hosting or generation. External hosting and managed-service migration need separate planning; payments currently use test workflows.
